Weapons, Traversal Toys, and What the Demo Confirms in Twisted Tower
This isn't a repeat of the Overview page -- it's a closer look at how combat and traversal actually work together, based on demo impressions and official materials ahead of the August 18 launch.
Every Weapon Has a Second Function
Don't settle for a weapon's default fire mode -- every confirmed weapon in Twisted Tower has a secondary fire capability, and experimenting with both functions is confirmed as a real part of how combat is meant to be approached, not an optional flourish.
Traversal Is a Core System, Not a Bonus
GamesRadar's preview specifically singled out the grapple and toy-based traversal (jumping, dashing, grappling) as a standout feature -- treat movement with the same seriousness as combat rather than as a way to simply get from one fight to the next. The collected toys that grant these abilities are core progression tools.
What the Demo Actually Shows
The playable demo covers the tower's beach entry and its first couple of floors, confirmed to include 4 distinct enemy types and 3 unique weapons -- treat this as a genuine, representative slice of early-game pacing and difficulty rather than a a stripped-down tech demo, but don't assume it reflects the full game's later difficulty or scope.
Replaying for Different Paths
Since unique paths are confirmed across different playthroughs, don't treat a single completed run as having shown you everything -- replaying with different routes is a real, intended part of the design rather than just repeating the same content.
