Lies of P is a Pinocchio-inspired souls-like from Round8 Studio and publisher Neowiz, set in the gothic, Belle Époque-styled city of Krat. Its signature system is Weapon Assembly — every weapon splits into a Blade and a Handle, which can be mixed and matched from dozens of pieces to build a custom moveset and stat scaling, alongside swappable Legion Arms (mechanical arm attachments like a flamethrower or grappling hook) and a passive P-Organ skill tree. Its Overture DLC expansion released in 2025, and the base game has been in a stable, well-supported state since. Lies of P: Complete Edition arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6, 2026 -- the first time any version of Lies of P has appeared on a Nintendo platform -- with a physical edition through iam8bit following on October 2, 2026. Bundling the full base game with the previously separately-sold Overture prequel expansion into a single $69.99 package, the Complete Edition includes genuine Switch 2-exclusive additions: a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS, Amiibo support for cosmetic unlocks, and additional cosmetic bonuses not available on other platforms. Director Jiwon Choi has been direct about the milestone, saying the team had wanted to share their take on Pinocchio's story with Nintendo players for a long time. Kotaku has called Lies of P 'one of the best non-FromSoftware Soulslike games,' and it has sold over four million units since its original September 19, 2023 release.
