Best Weapons in Lies of P

Lies of P has over 25 possible weapon combinations, since almost any blade can be paired with almost any handle -- the blade sets base attack power, guard damage mitigation, and damage type, while the handle sets the attack pattern and stat scaling (Motivity for heavy builds, Technique for fast builds, Advance for elemental damage).

You unlock weapon assembly after defeating the Mad Donkey boss and saving Geppetto, receiving the Enigma Assembly Tool -- from there, Stargazers or Eugenie (the weapon merchant at Hotel Krat) let you disassemble and reassemble weapons at no cost.

Speed build: Bone-Cutting Sawblade + Bramble Curved Sword Handle combines reach and damage with a fast, gap-closing attack.

Strength build: Booster Glaive Handle + Pipe Wrench Blade offers long reach, respectable scaling even unenhanced, and strong Guard Damage Reduction for a parry-heavy playstyle.

Technique build: Wintry Rapier Blade + Salamander Dagger Handle for fast, precise strikes.

Elemental/status build: Electric Coil Stick (default combo, sold early in Chapter 2 by the Wandering Merchant in Elysion Boulevard) is especially strong against puppets thanks to its shock effect.

Two special weapons -- Two Dragons Sword and Puppet Ripper -- cannot be broken down into parts at all, but their unique built-in mechanics still place them at the top of most tier lists.

One real limitation: you cannot use the same blade or handle piece in two different assembled weapons simultaneously, so plan your loadout around which specific parts you actually want equipped.
