Denshattack! — Overview
Denshattack! is a fast-paced action platformer from Undercoders, published by Fireshine Games (Sold Out Sales and Marketing Limited), built on Unreal Engine 5. Rather than a traditional train simulator, it turns trains into extreme-sports machines -- flipping, grinding, wall-riding, and combo-chaining your way through a colorful, dystopian Japan. It launched July 15, 2026 (after a short delay from an original June date) on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with a playable demo still available on Steam and Switch 2.
The World and Story
The megacorporation Miraidō sealed Japan's elite cities under air-purifying domes, locking out anyone who couldn't afford access and abandoning the railways connecting them. You play Emi Araki, a 19-year-old former ramen delivery girl from Beppu, Ōita Prefecture, whose driving skill catches the underground's attention -- beginning her journey from naive beginner to legendary Denshattacker chasing the fastest train in existence. The rebel crew reclaims those abandoned tracks as both protest and playground, using Denshattack as a way to fight back against Miraidō's control.
Core Gameplay
Travel from the countryside of Kyushu through Osaka, Tokyo, and other domed metropolises, out to the snowfields of Hokkaido and beyond -- across more than 50 levels spanning meadows, volcanoes, oceans, and surreal set pieces. Success depends on timing, clean landings, route knowledge, and keeping combos alive without losing momentum, all built around a deep trick-chaining system (57 total tricks) layered with timed-input combos.
A Genuinely Rich Boss Roster
Every boss in the game is connected to Miraidō's control structure -- regional gang leaders enforcing dome boundaries, and ultimately the corporation itself as the final target. At least 7 named gangs appear across the 9 chapters: Dashing Queens, Dead Ball, Rockabillies Gang, Tarantulas, Taskforce Gang, Voicekeepers Gang, and the Yoneda Family. One boss, Madoka Sato, is confirmed as the only fight to appear twice across separate chapters (Chapters 2 and 4) as a genuine rematch.
Full English and Japanese Voice Cast
The game features complete voice acting in both English and Japanese, switchable at any point during play regardless of your subtitle language -- a genuinely flexible localization approach rather than forcing a single dub choice.
Customization and Collectibles
Your gravity-defying train is fully customizable with modules and colors expressing a rebel graffiti aesthetic against Miraidō's corporate sterility, including 9 real content-creator collaboration skins. Beyond the main story, a deep collectible system (Lucky Charms, Gears, Movie Reels, Toolboxes) rewards thorough exploration, tracked through a Garage hub menu with a built-in Tricktionary reference.

The game is not available for purchase in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, or mainland China, per the publisher's request.
