Denshattack! Tips & Tricks

Before Your First Run

Try the free demo first -- it's available on both Steam and Nintendo Switch 2, and includes its own dedicated ending via a demo-exclusive Movie Reel collectible, giving you a genuine taste of the story before committing to the full 9-chapter campaign.

Spend real time in the Garage hub learning the Tricktionary before pushing into harder levels -- with 57 total tricks available, understanding your toolkit up front pays off far more than improvising blindly mid-run.

During a Run

Prioritize clean landings and momentum over raw trick complexity early on -- since combos chain off successful landings, a simpler combo executed cleanly beats an ambitious one that breaks your flow.

Watch for collectible variety as you explore: Lucky Charms, Gears, Movie Reels, and Toolboxes are all tracked separately in the Garage, and Movie Reels specifically carry real narrative content, not just completionist value.

Facing Bosses

Every boss ties back to Miraidō's control structure -- treat each regional gang leader as a checkpoint in the wider story, not just a difficulty gate. Madoka Sato is the only confirmed rematch boss (Chapters 2 and 4), so don't assume defeating a boss once means you've seen the last of them.

Common Mistakes

  • Ignoring the demo if you're on the fence -- it's a genuine slice of the game with its own ending, not a stripped-down tech demo.
  • Switching voice language mid-playthrough without realizing you can do it anytime -- experiment with both English and Japanese dubs since the game supports switching freely rather than locking you into one at the start.
  • Overlooking train customization as purely cosmetic -- the creator-collaboration skins and modules are a real part of expressing your version of the rebel aesthetic, not just unlockable flair to ignore.
