When does the Curse of Ula'tek content update launch?
The week of August 11, 2026, opening access to the new Coiled Isle zone, with Midnight Season 2 following a week later on August 18.
Who is Ula'tek?
An ancient, powerful creature of hatred, corruption, and venom, unleashed by Zul'jan's actions -- confirmed as the final boss of the new 8-boss Venomous Abyss raid, arriving with the start of Midnight Season 2.
What is a Lair?
A confirmed new system evolving world bosses into instanced encounters with scaling difficulty up to flexible Mythic (15-25 players), found in specific locations with a summoning stone outside, similar in structure to Delves. The first confirmed Lair is The Tidebound Grotto.
What new dungeon and Delves are included?
Altar of Fangs, a new 3-boss dungeon available up to Mythic 0 at launch and joining the Mythic+ rotation with Season 2, plus 3 new Delves: The Ring of Glory, Gnarldor Isle, and the Venomfall Deeps Nemesis Delve.
What happens during the pre-season week?
Players can gear up, hunt treasure, and claim rewards ahead of Midnight Season 2's full start on August 18 -- Great Vault credit for Season 2 begins accruing, and Crafting Sparks begin dropping, though Voidcore bonus rolls don't become available until the week of August 25.
What is the Local story on the Coiled Isle about?
A storyline following tortollan sea captain Tokka, letting players build reputation with his crew and learn to fish in the isle's newly cursed waters.
