The Witcher 4 — Overview
The Witcher 4 is CD Projekt Red's next mainline entry in The Witcher series, built on customized Unreal Engine 5 technology and starring Ciri — Geralt's adopted daughter — as the new protagonist, marking the start of a new Witcher saga. Ciri's combat style is deliberately different from Geralt's: agile and fluid rather than block-heavy, including mobile spellcasting that lets her cast Signs while moving, which Geralt could not do. The demo showcased the region of Kovir, including the port town of Valdrest and winter capital Lan Exeter. It remains in active development with no confirmed release date as of mid-2026.
