ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs
ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs FAQ
Are the devices in the game real or fictional?
A mix of both. Some devices are officially licensed real hardware -- the Atari 2600, Jaguar, and Lynx are all confirmed via a direct partnership with Atari. Others, like the Patento BS, are fictional devices the developers have jokingly described as "legally distinct" from real iconic handhelds they're clearly inspired by.
Does the story actually change based on my choices?
Yes -- ReStory features a nonlinear, branching narrative with multiple endings. Confirmed story beats include choices like whether to report a disturbing discovery inside a former gangster's phone, or help a lovestruck student confess to his crush. Your decisions affect both the customer's story and your shop's future.
Is there a scam risk when buying spare parts online?
Yes, by design -- the in-game web browser marketplace for ordering spare parts includes unreliable or scam listings, adding a small layer of real risk and attentiveness to an otherwise relaxing loop, confirmed directly by early player feedback.
Is there a console version?
No -- ReStory is currently confirmed for PC via Steam only, with no console versions listed on the official store page as of pre-launch.
Is this the same team behind any other games I might know?
Yes -- developer Mandragora previously made I Am Future and Skyhill. Publisher tinyBuild is known for a large portfolio including the Hello Neighbor series, Graveyard Keeper, SpeedRunners, and DUCKSIDE.
Can I customize the devices themselves, not just repair them?
Yes -- official marketing confirms you can customize devices as part of the restoration process, not just fix them to factory spec. Specific customization options (paint jobs, parts swaps, etc.) have not been fully detailed pre-launch.
