Pax Autocratica

Pax Autocratica FAQ

Is the free Prologue the same as a demo?

Not exactly -- it's a standalone, permanently free release (live since December 1, 2025) rather than a timed demo, and you don't need to own the full game to play it. It covers a smaller scale of the same core systems, deliberately excluding deeper automation, mechs, and other late-game mechanics reserved for the full Early Access release.

Is there multiplayer or co-op?

Not at Early Access launch -- the Steam store page lists Single-player only. Multiverse has stated co-op is one of the major features it hopes to develop during Early Access, but it is not confirmed or available yet.

How long will the game stay in Early Access?

Multiverse has stated an expectation of approximately two years, though this may change depending on development progress and player feedback. No 1.0 release date has been announced.

Is there a console version?

No -- Pax Autocratica is Windows-only on PC via Steam, with no macOS, Linux, or console version listed.

Does the game support controllers?

Yes, full controller support is confirmed, including both DualShock and DualSense -- notable for a hybrid game combining first-person combat with menu-heavy colony management.

What's this about a charity donation?

Multiverse has confirmed that 1% of all net revenue from the game will be donated to children's healthcare and humanitarian assistance in low-income and conflict-affected countries, through the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). Further details were promised after the Early Access launch.

Is the game voice acted?

Yes -- English includes full voice-over audio, alongside text-only support for Simplified Chinese, French, and German. Specific named voice actors or characters have not been published in official materials or the dedicated fan wiki as of pre-launch, so this page cannot confirm a cast list yet.
