SSD is a hard requirement, not just a recommendation -- mechanical drives are explicitly unsupported. This is a steep climb from the original 2020 Mortal Shell's minimum (a GTX 970, 8GB RAM, no storage-type requirement at all). No recommended-tier specs have been published by either Cold Symmetry or Playstack as of this writing.
