Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an action RPG set in the world of Cygames' long-running Granblue Fantasy mobile series, developed and published by Cygames. It launched February 1, 2024 on PC and PlayStation 5/4, and later added Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its first major expansion.
The Premise
You lead the Skyfarers of the Grandcypher, playable as the customizable protagonist Gran or Djeeta, across the Zegagrande Skydom. Confirmed named allies joining your party include Charlotta, Siegfried, and Yodarha, each with their own distinct weaponry, skills, and combat style. Quests support solo play or up to 4-player online co-op, with fast-paced real-time combat against a wide range of enemies and bosses drawn from the wider Granblue Fantasy universe.
Endless Ragnarok: The First Major Expansion
Launched July 9, 2026 (with some editions available a day earlier), Endless Ragnarok is Granblue Fantasy: Relink's first major DLC expansion, announced during a February 2026 Nintendo Direct. Picking up after the Skyfarers thwart the Church of Avia's ambitions, the crew returns to the Zegagrande Skydom only to face a new mysterious threat: Ragnalia, the Heralds of Doom.
New Playable Characters and Bosses
Endless Ragnarok introduces new playable characters including Seofon, Tweyen, and Sandalphon -- all obtainable for free by progressing through the base game and DLC content (via Special Crewmate Cards from Siero's Knickknack Shop), alongside further additions like Maglielle, Fraux, and Fediel. New bosses include Ragnalia itself and Beelzebub, a character crossing over from Granblue Fantasy Versus.
New Mechanics: Conflux, Master Traits, and Primal Bursts
The expansion adds The Conflux, an all-new solo mode built around unpredictable, procedurally-shifting challenges and enigmatic powers. Master Traits let you push characters beyond their previous limits, while Summons can now be temporarily controlled directly by the player -- under the right conditions, this can trigger a new type of chain burst called a Primal Burst. New Chaos Difficulty Tier Quests (unlocked via Chaos Key Quests) add further endgame challenge, with some Chaos quests specifically permitting Summons use.
Editions and a Notable Switch 2 Difference
Endless Ragnarok is available as a Standard Edition ($59.99, includes the base game) or Special Edition ($79.99, adds all base-game cosmetic DLC plus materials to unlock Seofon, Tweyen, and Sandalphon early), alongside Upgrade Kits for existing owners ($29.99 Standard / $54.99 Special). Notably, the Nintendo Switch 2 release combines the base game and the Endless Ragnarok expansion into a single package -- a genuinely different bundling approach from the other platforms, which sell them separately.
Full Crossplay
Relink's 4-player online co-op now supports crossplay across all platforms following Endless Ragnarok's release, letting players on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch 2 team up together.
