Feed The Pit Wiki
Feed The Pit is a linear, story-driven investigative horror game from solo/small indie developer Curious Fox Sox, self-published on Steam. It launched June 11, 2026 on PC with Act 1 available at release, and Acts 2 and 3 confirmed as free future updates rather than paid DLC.
The Premise
You've been invited into the Chosen Circle of The Pit's Brotherhood, tasked with hunting wealthy individuals through the haunted woods of Carrister Valley to feed a hungry, mysterious entity known only as The Pit. Your only tool is a limited hand of magical "finder cards," each asking a unique question about your target's location. Playing them carefully narrows the map down until only one possible spot remains -- but your card selection is limited, so no two investigations play out the same way.
A New Monster Every Mission
Each mission introduces a new relentless monster acting as that day's nemesis, with behavior that's initially a total mystery. Success depends on taking calculated risks, observing each creature closely to uncover its patterns, and figuring out how to survive its specific attacks. Confirmed named threats include the Flesh Taker and the Spriggan, a tree-like entity -- both frequently described by players as genuinely frightening, especially once the in-game sun sets and visibility drops.
A Genuinely Distinctive Soundtrack Choice
The game's atmospheric score is composed entirely of public domain music -- a real, distinctive creative choice worth knowing about.
A Branching Story With Real Weight
Beyond the moment-to-moment hunt, a complex, branching narrative explores your role within the Chosen Circle and the Brotherhood's stated goal of ushering in a new world order -- with multiple confirmed endings shaped by your choices throughout.
