FEED IT Wiki
FEED IT is a first-person, PSX-style psychological horror game and the debut commercial release from Italian indie studio Games On A Chair, published by Poland-based Pretty Soon (Backpack Hero, Havendock, Small Spaces, Primal Planet, Project P.I.T.T.). It's set for release on PC via Steam on August 17, 2026, following a reveal in May 2026 and a Steam Next Fest demo in June.
The Premise
You share your home with an insatiable, ever-hungry creature -- and rather than fighting it, your only real choice is whether to feed it or feed yourself. Give your food to the monster and you risk starving; keep it for yourself and you risk the creature's fury. The TV is too loud, the house shifts and twists into a genuine maze, and the monster's hunger only grows the longer you wait.
Inspired by Silent Hill and Mouthwashing
Games On A Chair has been explicit about its influences: rather than combat or jump scares, FEED IT is built around tension, resource management, and difficult choices, prioritizing psychological discomfort and emotional pressure in the tradition of Silent Hill and Mouthwashing. Minimal interactions and environmental storytelling encourage players to piece together the narrative themselves as the house's shifting layout gradually reveals more unsettling details about the world around them.
Short, Replayable, and Multi-Ending
The game is confirmed as a short-form, highly replayable horror experience featuring multiple paths and various endings. Every piece of food given to the monster is one less resource available to restore your own strength and improve your odds of escape, creating a genuine, constant dilemma throughout a playthrough rather than a single fixed choice.
A Personal Debut Project
Ahead of launch, Games On A Chair shared a direct, personal statement about the game: "We've been pouring so much blood and sweat into this game, and we cannot wait to get it into the players' hands! It comes from a deeply personal place, and we sincerely hope it will resonate just as deeply with people." As the studio's first commercial release, FEED IT represents a genuine creative debut rather than an established studio's routine follow-up.
A Real Content Warning Worth Knowing
The game's own official listing includes a direct content warning covering psychological abuse and mistreatment, psychedelia, derealization and dissociation, hunger, starvation, and delirium, and dead animals with lo-fi stylized blood. The developers themselves recommend playing in the dark with headphones on for the intended experience.
