Doloc Town Tips & Tricks

Before You Start

Try the free demo first -- it offers a genuine 2-hour taste of the game, and its save file carries over directly into the full release.

This is still technically an Early Access title as of this writing, with the full 1.0 release (including the new Old City Ruins area and the story's expanded content) arriving August 6, 2026.

Working With the Weather, Not Just Against It

Don't treat acid rain, heat, and storms as purely obstacles -- lightning can be harnessed to power your farm, and torrential rain can irrigate your fields directly. Build your farm layout with this in mind rather than just trying to shelter crops from every weather event.

Upgrading Your Drone Early

Since your drone is essential for surviving expeditions into dangerous wilderness (with weapon and lighting modules available), prioritize early upgrades before pushing deep into caves or the Old City Ruins rather than assuming your starting equipment is sufficient.

If You're a Returning Mod User

If you were running function mods that require DTMAPI before 1.0, uninstall them before updating -- they're not guaranteed to remain compatible, and the developers have published a specific manual uninstallation process (deleting the BepInEx folder) since Steam's standard uninstall won't remove them.

Common Mistakes

  • Assuming farm automation is a late-game luxury -- solar/wind power and farming drone stations are core systems worth investing in progressively, not a pure endgame reward.
  • Venturing into the Old City Ruins or caves without first upgrading your drone's weapon and lighting modules.
