Is Capy Castaway based on a true story?
Yes, in inspiration -- it's directly based on the real 2016 escape of two capybaras from Toronto's High Park Zoo, an event that made local and international news at the time.
Is there co-op?
Yes -- both local co-op and Steam Remote Play Together are confirmed, with one player controlling Capy and the other Corvi. The game is also fully playable solo, switching between both characters yourself.
Who composed the music?
Mark Sparling, best known for his work on A Short Hike. The soundtrack will be purchasable separately at launch.
Is there a demo?
Yes -- a free, actively updated demo is available on Steam, most recently refreshed following the Dames 4 Games Spring 2026 Showcase.
