Solo or Co-op? How Capy and Corvi's Abilities Actually Work Together

This isn't a repeat of the Overview page -- it's a closer look at how Capy and Corvi's abilities actually combine to solve puzzles, based on official materials ahead of the August 6 launch.

The Two Characters Are Designed to Complement, Not Duplicate

Capy and Corvi don't have overlapping skill sets -- they're built to solve different halves of the same puzzles. Capy's sniffing, digging, swimming, and object-pushing abilities work at ground level and underwater; Corvi's flying and object retrieval work in the air and at a distance. Many environmental puzzles are confirmed to genuinely require both skill sets together, not just whichever character you personally prefer controlling.

Playing Solo vs. Playing Co-op

Both modes are fully supported and designed to be equally enjoyable, so the choice comes down to preference rather than one being the "intended" way to play. Solo lets you freely switch between Capy and Corvi as a puzzle demands; co-op (local or via Steam Remote Play Together) turns the same puzzles into a genuine coordination exercise between two players, since you'll each only control one character's ability set at a time.

Don't Skip Hat Customization

Capy can turn found objects into wearable hats -- a confirmed, intentional part of the game's charm rather than a throwaway cosmetic feature. Take the time to explore fully rather than beelining for objectives, since these customization items are tied directly to genuine exploration.

Your Choices Genuinely Matter

Since multiple endings are shaped by how you interact with Castaway Island's residents, engage with dialogue and side-helping opportunities as real narrative decisions -- not just flavor text to click through on your way to the next puzzle.
