If you're a returning Black Flag veteran, recalibrate your combat expectations early: the Hidden Blade no longer works in open combat, restricted to stealth and contextual kills. • Instantly abandoning an eavesdropping mission if spotted, out of old habit -- this no longer causes an instant desync like the original, so it's worth trying to recover rather than reflexively restarting.
• Ignoring the new Officers' origin missions -- they're part of the main narrative and easy to miss if you're rushing the core story path.
