How to Approach Your First Biome and Grow a Thriving Seedlet Town

This isn't a repeat of the Overview page -- it's a practical look at approaching your first town and choosing the right mode, based on official materials ahead of the August 12 launch.

Pick Your Mode Based on What You Actually Want

Since story and Sandbox Mode are confirmed as genuinely separate experiences, decide upfront whether you want narrative guidance or complete creative freedom. Story mode gives you a sense of progression and purpose through Verde's journey with the Gardening Club; Sandbox strips that away entirely for players who'd rather just build.

Treat Seedlet Needs as the Real Core Loop

Since Seedlets are confirmed as the heart of the game's population system, prioritize understanding and fulfilling their needs early rather than focusing purely on visual town layout -- a well-cared-for Seedlet population is what actually drives your town's growth.

Don't Assume Your First Biome's Strategy Will Carry Over

Since each of the 3 confirmed biomes introduces new buildings, mechanics, and environmental challenges, treat every new biome as a genuine reset in strategy rather than expecting what worked in your first area to translate directly.

Experiment With Building Customization Early

Since interchangeable architectural parts and color options are confirmed as genuinely deep rather than superficial, spend real time early on experimenting with your town's look -- this is confirmed as a core part of the experience, not an optional afterthought.
