Tiny Monster Haven Wiki
Tiny Monster Haven is a cozy idle creature collector and desktop companion game from Belgian indie studio Digging Dino, self-published on PC via Steam and set for release August 11, 2026, following an actively-updated demo showcased at the Monster Taming Direct.
The Premise
Rather than a traditional monster-catching RPG you play in dedicated sessions, Tiny Monster Haven continues running at the bottom or side of your screen throughout your day, letting creatures assist with daily tasks even while you focus on other activities. Grow crops, cook meals, and collect, raise, and evolve more than 50 unique monsters as you build and manage your own Haven.
Elemental Helpers With Real Purpose
Confirmed as a genuine, distinctive mechanic: your monsters actively help manage the Haven based on their element -- Water monsters water your crops, Fire monsters boost cooking times, and Plant monsters harvest crops and carry them to storage boxes, among other confirmed elemental roles. As you build a more powerful team, you'll venture on a compact RPG adventure featuring towns, routes, NPC trainers, and Elemental Gurus, all building toward a tournament championship.
Essence, Eggs, and Decoration
Monster Essence -- reworked from an earlier monster-specific system into a single shared pool -- is spent in the egg shop to hatch new monsters, with a reworked shop interface giving a useful preview of what abilities each monster will bring to your Haven. Surplus crops, food, and even monsters can be sold for extra coins, while extensive decoration options let you personalize your Haven with flowers, trees, fountains, and other cosmetic upgrades unlocked throughout the campaign.
Real, Active Developer Engagement
Since its demo launched, Digging Dino has directly incorporated community feedback into the game -- adding quality-of-life improvements, making wild monster spawns time-of-day and season-specific, and revising economic systems based on real player suggestions and bug reports.
