Can I play solo?
Yes — Tears of Metal supports solo play as well as up to 4-player co-op.
Do I lose progress between runs?
No — soldiers gain permanent skills between campaigns, and your settlement keeps expanding across runs.
Is it Early Access?
Yes — it's currently in Early Access.
Are there more heroes coming?
Yes -- the developer has shown 2 additional teaser commanders on the hero select screen marked as unobtainable placeholders, confirming intent to add them. As of the current patch, the developer has stated content focus is on multiplayer desync fixes, mid-campaign saves, and difficulty rebalancing first, so treat the teased heroes as confirmed future additions rather than something with a set release date.
Does the game have full voice acting?
Not yet fully -- the developer has stated on the official Steam page that more voice acting is planned as part of ongoing Early Access content updates, alongside new heroes, more languages, and balance improvements. Current voiced content should be expected to expand over the Early Access period rather than treated as complete.
