Growth and Talismans in Rubinite

Rubinite has no traditional weapon system to swap between -- Ruby fights with a single blade throughout the entire game, and her base attacks deal minimal damage on their own. Growth instead comes from the Focus mechanic, skills, and Talismans.

Absorbing Pure Blood from defeated Blood-Stained enemies lets you bolster your strength for the next fight, primarily through skill enhancements early on -- these choices meaningfully shape your tactics rather than being purely cosmetic upgrades.

Talismans are crafted and equipped at the Cathedral hub between fights (via Wichiwi), granting Ruby various passive effects. Extra Talisman slots can also be purchased, letting you stack more effects as you progress.

The core growth loop is entirely about mastering Focus rather than gearing up -- building Pureblood Crystal stacks through successful hits and parries, then detonating them for burst damage, matters far more to your power level than any single item pickup.
