Best Weapons in Ragnarok: The New World

Weapon choice in Ragnarok: The New World is tied closely to class, and several classes have a genuine choice between two weapon types rather than a single fixed loadout.

Knight (Swordsman): Two-handed swords are the standard choice for PvE farming thanks to the Two-Hand Quicken passive granting an attack speed bonus alongside higher base damage. Spears paired with the Pierce skill are the alternative pick specifically for large-size MVP targets, since Pierce multi-hit applies to that size category. Many Knights carry both weapon types and swap based on the content ahead of them.

Gunslinger: built entirely around a weapon-swapping mechanic between dual pistols and rifles/shotguns. Dual pistols favor high mobility and repositioning; rifles and shotguns are brought out for massive burst damage during boss vulnerability windows. Skilled players toggle between the two rather than committing to just one.

Because of the Safe Refine system (gear cannot break or de-level on a failed upgrade), it is reasonable to invest refinement materials into your primary weapon fairly early without the classic-Ragnarok fear of destroying it on a bad roll.
