Realm Cards determine everything about the world you enter — pick 1 Biome card plus up to 2 Major and Minor cards at a Portal Machine before stepping through a portal.

Once you close a portal, that specific realm's exact configuration is lost forever, though you can recreate a similar realm by replaying the same card combination.

There's no fixed class — experiment with weapon, skill, and equipment combinations to build toward whatever playstyle you want, whether that's a familiar tank, healer, or DPS archetype.

Apex Creatures (the game's world bosses) aren't hostile by default — they'll only attack if you provoke them, so you can safely observe and even gift them before deciding to fight.
