Best Weapons in Nightingale

Every weapon in Nightingale is crafted, not looted, and split across 4 rarity tiers from S to C -- there are 3 gun types (Revolver, Shotgun, Rifle) plus the crossbow, and each fills a genuinely different role.

Best long-range pick: Chassepot Rifle -- effectively a sniper rifle with the best range in the game, though limited ammo demands precise shots to make the most of its high critical rate.

Best one-handed pick: Webley Revolver -- close-range with a built-in dodge ability, trading raw damage and range for mobility. The similar Porter Pistol deals slightly more against large weak points, so the two are close alternatives.

Best general-purpose pick: Winchester Rifle -- more flexible and less reload-heavy than the Éclair shotgun, purchasable as a recipe from The Watch trader for 100 T3 Essence.

Best boss weapon: Éclair 'Paradox' Shotgun -- the highest raw damage output of the gun options, at the cost of range.

For melee, Dauntless Maul is worth building since it works as both a tool and a weapon, saving an inventory slot without sacrificing combat performance.

Material choice matters as much as weapon choice: Gold ore favors blocking and enchantments, Steel is the recommended next-tier ingot upgrade, and Harpy Hide grants strong Stealth rating if a weapon's recipe calls for hide.
