How Romance and Relationships Actually Work in Moonlight Peaks

This isn't a repeat of the Overview page -- it's a closer look at how dating, marriage, and the wider relationship system actually function, based on official materials and community guides since the July 7 launch.

Building Affinity

Talk to residents regularly and give suitable gifts to raise your relationship level. Dating unlocks once you reach 4 hearts with a romanceable character, at which point a new dialogue option lets you invite them on a date. Don't ignore family quests either -- many residents' personal stories are connected to their relatives.

You Can Date Multiple People at Once

There's no early risk in exploring your options -- Moonlight Peaks lets you date all 23 romanceable characters simultaneously before committing to marriage. Only proposing to one candidate freezes your other relationships, so take the time to actually get to know the town rather than locking in your first crush immediately.

Crossing the Vampire-Werewolf Divide

One of the game's more charming touches: vampires and werewolves in town rarely get along, trading petty spats. Since you play a vampire, pursuing a werewolf like Saga means deliberately romancing across that social divide -- the developers have leaned into this as a real piece of characterization rather than smoothing it over.

Marriage, and Its One Real Limit

Marriage is a confirmed, real feature -- your spouse moves onto your farm, and a dedicated heart event unlocks specifically for married couples. Be aware going in that there are no children in Moonlight Peaks. Marrying a character who already has kids, like Orlock, reportedly makes you a step-parent instead of adding a new mechanic.

Friendship Still Matters

Even residents you're not romancing are worth building a relationship with -- doing so unlocks blueprints and crafting materials for your farm, so courting the whole town in a broader sense stays worthwhile even after you've settled down with a spouse.
