## Before You Start
Treat Act 1 as an investigation first and a chase second. Rushing straight toward a guessed location without narrowing the map properly through your cards is confirmed to be far riskier than playing patiently.
Since your card selection each run is limited, don't waste early questions on details you can infer -- ask what actually narrows down the map most efficiently given what you already know.
## Learning Each Mission's Monster
Since every mission's monster behaves differently and is initially unknown, budget your first encounter with any new threat as genuine reconnaissance -- observing its patterns safely is often more valuable early on than trying to immediately outrun or outsmart it.
## Managing Items Carefully
Since successfully reaching your target depends on protecting your final answer once the map is narrowed down, save your limited items specifically for that critical final stretch rather than spending them reactively earlier in a run.
