Cult of PiN Tips & Tricks
Before You Start
If you played the original demo, know the 1.0 release represents roughly two years of additional development -- expect a substantially expanded experience beyond what the demo offered.
This blends genuine pinball skill with roguelike deckbuilding -- don't neglect physical ball control in favor of purely stacking upgrades, since keeping the ball alive still matters as much as your build.
Choosing Your First Ball
Since all 8 confirmed playable balls offer distinct passive mechanics and Rituals, experiment across a few rather than settling immediately -- different balls are confirmed to support genuinely different playstyles.
Drafting Glyphs, Blessings, and Curses Deliberately
Since the 130+ upgrade pool is confirmed to include both purely beneficial Glyphs/Blessings and riskier Curses, think about your overall build direction before drafting rather than picking whatever seems individually strongest.
Preparing for Boss Bumpers
Since 14 confirmed unique Boss Bumpers each bring their own passive traits, treat your first encounter with any new one as genuine learning rather than expecting to counter it immediately with an unfamiliar build.
Common Mistakes
- Focusing purely on upgrade synergy while neglecting actual ball control -- physical pinball skill is confirmed to still matter significantly.
- Expecting full VPin/cabinet customization at launch -- some quality-of-life settings for dedicated cabinet setups are confirmed as still in development.
