CloverPit

CloverPit Wiki

CloverPit is a roguelite slot-machine horror game from two-person Italian indie studio Panik Arcade, published by Future Friends Games, released in September 2025 on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One (including Xbox Game Pass), with a mobile release on iOS and Android confirmed for December 17, 2026. The developers themselves describe it as the demonic lovechild of Balatro and Buckshot Roulette.

The Premise

You're locked in a rusty cell with nothing but a slot machine and an ATM, watched over by a menacing figure known as The Captor -- pay off your debt at the end of each round, or fall to ruin. Literally. Manipulate the slot machine to earn extra coins, turn the odds in your favor with prizes and charms that trigger big combos, and plan ahead to snowball a run into a dazzling, genuinely game-breaking streak of luck.

Unholy Fusion: The First DLC

Released April 9, 2026 for $2.99 -- surprise-launched with no warning during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase -- Unholy Fusion is CloverPit's first premium DLC, requiring the base game to play. It introduces the Surgery Machine, a grotesque new device letting you fuse two hard-earned charms into a single, significantly more powerful trinket. The expansion adds 30 unique charm fusions, 11 extra regular charms, 4 new symbol modifiers, 7 new memory cards, and a secret finale, alongside a new in-game completion goal that doesn't appear in the standard achievements list. A bundled "CloverPit: Unholy Edition" combines the base game and DLC together.

A Free Update Alongside the DLC

Even players who skip Unholy Fusion got something new: the free 1.4 "Leaderboards" update launched alongside it, adding online leaderboards tracked separately for normal mode, hard mode, and for versions with and without the DLC installed.

Honest Reception and Developer Transparency

Reception for both the base game and DLC has been genuinely mixed -- the base game holds 65% positive across 146+ reviews, while Unholy Fusion itself sits at 50% positive across its first 10 reviews. The developers, Matteo and Lorenzo, have been directly transparent with players: mobile progress does not carry over to other platforms and vice versa, since a working cross-save system proved too difficult to implement safely, meaning players starting on mobile will need to begin their debt spiral anew.
