Bottle Cracks Wiki
Bottle Cracks is a physics-based one-button party platformer from solo developer FrowsyFrog, self-published on PC via Steam. It's a much more polished, expanded Steam evolution of an earlier itch.io game of the same name that FrowsyFrog originally released in 2022 and continued developing for several years based on real community response.
The Premise
You control a fragile bottle using just one button -- any key on your keyboard or controller -- jumping through chaotic, obstacle-filled levels to reach the finish. Use too much force, though, and your bottle cracks. Since each player only needs a single input, there's genuinely no limit to how many people can join a local session together.
Solo, Local, and Online Multiplayer
Play solo, gather unlimited friends locally in Solo & Party Mode, or join online multiplayer rooms of up to 12 players. Beyond straightforward level-clearing, confirmed game modes include Barrier Mode (moving together as a group while avoiding obstacles), Fire Wall Mode (a reworked version of the original Leader Mode, with the camera behaving differently in local versus online play), and Race Mode (an online-exclusive mode where the camera follows your individual bottle as you race against others).
Active, Ongoing Development
Since its Steam release, Bottle Cracks has received a steady stream of updates -- reworking Barrier Mode's camera zoom for better comfort, replacing the original Leader Mode with the improved Fire Wall Mode, rebalancing specific level sections (including the Playground map's difficulty), and fixing bugs like a malfunctioning bear roundabout obstacle and online lobby version-mismatch issues.
