Units and Heroes in ZeroSpace

ZeroSpace has no traditional weapons to catalogue -- combat power instead comes from combining over 80 units across the 4 main factions (Protectorate, Grell, Legion, Xol), 6 mercenary auxiliary factions, and 14 heroes.

Heroes provide ability support and special feats during battle but deliberately don't dominate the battlefield the way they might in a game like Warcraft 3 -- army composition and positioning still decide most fights, which several early reviewers have praised as feeling closer to StarCraft 2 than a hero-focused RTS.

Each faction plays distinctly: Protectorate fields conventional mobile infantry, armor, air, and late-game mechs; Grell spreads biomass to spawn and evolve creatures; Legion floods the field with expendable troops backed by shape-shifting Terror Tanks; and Xol relies on precision robotics with modular unit-merge tech.

Mercenary auxiliaries can be mixed into any of the 4 main factions, adding build variety without requiring a full faction switch.

Since ZeroSpace is still in Early Access (launched July 20, 2026), expect the specific unit roster and hero balance to keep shifting -- treat any single tier list, including general faction strength claims, as a snapshot rather than settled information.
