Three: the Global Defense Force, the Tempest Dynasty, and the Veti (playable free in multiplayer, with a paid singleplayer campaign expansion, Veti's Wrath).
Are the factions 'good' or 'evil'?
No — there are no clearly good factions; both base campaigns force morally grey choices.
How long are the campaigns?
Roughly 15-20 hours per faction for GDF and Tempest Dynasty, each running 11 missions; the Veti's Wrath expansion adds another 11-mission campaign.
Does Tempest Rising use AI-generated voices?
No -- despite some player speculation, the game uses a full cast of human voice actors, credited per unit and character in the game's own credits. Reports of AI-sounding delivery in some cutscenes are more likely a case of unusual voice direction than actual AI generation.
