The Mechanic

Player character -- an Inkling or Octoling (player's choice) who pilots the helicopter and leads the treasure hunt across the Spirhalite Islands.

Shiver

Deep Cut member -- runs Gadget Development at the Hideout Ship, unlocking extra gadgets for your preferred Tank. Initially cautious and hostile toward the Mechanic, warming up as the story progresses.

Frye

Deep Cut member -- runs the Weapon Shack, letting you upgrade weapons or scrap old ones for materials. Energetic and eager to help; her family's culture becomes a real plot thread as the story unfolds.

Big Man

Deep Cut member -- the group's laid-back voice of reason, helping manage the Hideout Ship.
