Soulbound: Online Guides

How to Unlock Cosmetics in Soulbound: Online

Cosmetics are kept separate from your stats, so chasing a look never costs you power.

Cosmetics Are Separate From Gear Stats: Soulbound uses separate cosmetic slots from your stat-bearing gear, so collecting hand-animated pixel-art armor sets, rare cosmetic drops, and companion pets never forces a trade-off against your build's power. You can mix and match cosmetics freely to look how you want, independent of whatever gear you're actually running for stats. Both gear and its cosmetic overrides span seven equipment slots: Head, Chest, Legs, Necklace, Ring, Belt, and Back .

Ways to Get Cosmetics: Cosmetic Vendor: found right at the start in Beginner's Bay, selling simple cosmetic items for gold alongside the Gear Vendor. Achievement rewards: completing the tutorial dungeons (Bulkatron, Scrapclaw) and later achievements grant gold you can put toward cosmetics. Rare dungeon drops: dungeon runs can drop rare cosmetic items on top of regular loot. Demo participation rewards: players who took part in the Steam Next Fest demo received an exclusive outfit called the Duskbound Pioneer, and everyone from any demo also received a Red Panda Plushie Backpack cosmetic — both carry into Early Access even though character progress resets. Yoku Store (Arcadia): apartment furnishings and decor can be purchased here using Yoku, the resource dropped in dungeons.
