How to Unlock Colors in MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls

Short, direct answer: most character colors are free and available to everyone from the start. The one special color option -- the Animated Chromatic -- can't be unlocked through gameplay at all. It's exclusively tied to purchasing the Ultimate Edition.

Colors 1-4: Free for Every Player

Every character's first four costume colors are confirmed available to all players immediately, with no unlock requirement whatsoever. You freely swap between them at the character select screen before each match, regardless of which edition of the game you own.

The Animated Chromatic Color Is Edition-Locked, Not Unlockable

This is the key thing to understand: the Animated Chromatic color is not something you earn through gameplay, achievements, or in-game currency -- it's exclusively included with the Ultimate Edition. A real question came up directly in the game's own Steam Community hub asking whether Standard or Digital Deluxe owners could eventually unlock it too; based on every official source describing the edition contents, the answer is no. It's a genuine edition-exclusive, not an early unlock of something everyone eventually gets.
