Getting Started in Marathon

  1. Pick your Runner before the match starts — you can't switch mid-run, so know your role going in.
  2. Triage (the medic Runner) is a strong pick for squad play if you want a forgiving, support-oriented role while learning the extraction loop.
  3. Thief rewards covert looting runs rather than direct combat, a good option if you want to avoid firefights while you learn the maps.
  4. Cross-play and cross-save are supported across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms.
