Which Horde Siege Class Should You Play? And How to Get the Most Out of the Open Beta
This isn't a repeat of the Overview page -- it's a practical look at approaching Horde Siege's class system and the beta's reward structure, based on official materials since the August 6 beta launch.
Coordinate Class Coverage With Your Squad First
Since Horde Siege is confirmed to involve three 4-player squads sharing objectives across a single match, don't pick Assault, Marksman, Medic, or Breacher purely on personal preference without checking what your own squad already has covered. A squad stacked entirely with one class is confirmed to be more vulnerable than one with genuine role coverage, especially against world boss encounters requiring coordinated effort.
Treat the Beta as a Real Testing Ground, Not Just Free Content
Since both beta weekends share identical content, don't feel pressure to rush everything into the first weekend if you have access to both -- pace yourself, and remember progression carries from weekend one into weekend two specifically, even though it resets before the October 6 launch.
Working Toward the Confirmed Reward List Deliberately
Since specific actions unlock specific launch-carrying rewards -- 5 Prototype Lancer Chainsaw executions, 8 Horde Siege extractions on Infantry difficulty or higher, and reaching Player Level 20 -- treat these as concrete goals for your beta sessions rather than hoping they happen incidentally.
Get Comfortable With New Movement Before Combat Gets Serious
Since jumping and sliding are confirmed as genuinely new additions to the series, spend real time in lower-stakes moments getting comfortable with the added verticality and speed before relying on them in a tense Versus match or a late Horde Siege wave.
