Getting Started in Dinoblade

The Colossal Great Sword is your starting weapon and remains S-tier throughout the game thanks to its versatile combo potential — you're not punished for sticking with it.
Parry, don't mash — bosses punish button-mashing hard, and dodging should happen on attack release, not during the wind-up.
Defeating an Alpha unlocks it as a summon for later fights, often with a passive perk attached, so no boss fight is purely one-and-done.
For a safer first build, prioritize health and parry-window-extension skills over raw damage — it's much more forgiving of timing mistakes.
