Best Weapons in Dinoblade
Dinoblade is a very new release (launched July 23, 2026), so weapon information is still settling -- some names circulated during pre-release builds did not hold up at launch, so this guide only covers weapons corroborated across multiple independent sources.
Colossal Great Sword: your starting weapon, and it remains genuinely S-tier for the entire game rather than getting outclassed -- balanced posture and health damage, good reach, and a Light-Heavy combo system that scales well with player skill.
Meteor Slice: unlocked automatically after defeating the first major boss, replacing your starter in the weapon menu -- hits harder and adds an earthquake effect on heavy attacks, leaning toward posture-breaking over raw damage.
Obsidian Rex-Tooth Katana (Ashen Caldera, guarded by the Alpha Carcharodontosaurus): the fastest legendary weapon to reach, with short recovery frames that let you cancel light attacks directly into a parry.
Meteorite Bone-Crusher Greatsword (Extinction Crater, guarded by the Armored Ankylosaurus): slow but devastating -- a single perfect parry can instantly stagger medium-sized rivals, the mandatory pick for a heavy-strength build.
Primordial Twin-Blades (Whispering Tar-Pits, obtained by luring the Corrupted Spinosaurus into a trap): one of the few non-greatsword weapon types confirmed so far, offering a real change of pace from the otherwise greatsword-heavy arsenal.
Since every weapon is a physical object placed in the world (no shops or crafting), each pickup above requires either progressing the story or actively searching the right biome corner.
