Content Warning Guides

Best Items and Gear in Content Warning

Content Warning has no traditional weapons -- your inventory holds only 3 items at once, split across Lights, Medical, Gadgets, Emotes, and Music categories, bought from a store totem near the prep house using money earned from posted videos.

Only 2 items function as anything weapon-like: the Shock Stick (melee, temporarily stuns) and the Goo Ball (thrown, sticks and stops a monster in its tracks) -- neither can actually kill a monster, since combat isn't really the point of the game.

Hugger and Defibrillator are considered essential picks -- Hugger is the only way to heal a teammate directly, and Defibrillator is the only way to revive someone who has died, up to 3 times per life at 30% health.

Long Flashlight is a solid all-around light choice for the price, while Rescue Hook doubles as mobility and a light source that does not anger EyeGuy, unlike most other lights.

Boom Mic and Clapper won't help you survive, but they meaningfully boost the views your footage earns, which is the game's actual win condition -- a good camera operator setup can matter as much as a good survival setup.

Since the game was still adding content post-launch, keep in mind the Music category has historically been sparse compared to the other four -- check patch notes if you are specifically hunting for a soundtrack option.
